With the new Norax N889 abrasive belts, Norton presents an innovative solution for the fine finishing of metal surfaces. The combination of 3D pyramid structure, long service life and flexible backing material ensures maximum precision and a finer finish.

The new Norton Norax N889 sanding belts are equipped with a newly developed pyramid-shaped microstructure and enable consistently high sanding performance - from the first to the last workpiece. The 3D structure wears down in a controlled manner and continuously releases new, sharp abrasive grains. The result: consistent surface quality and, according to the manufacturer, a service life that is two to five times longer than that of conventional abrasive belts. The Norax N889 belts offer decisive advantages, particularly in demanding areas such as medical technology, aerospace and general mechanical engineering. The highly flexible cloth backing adapts precisely to even complex component contours, enabling precise processing even in hard-to-reach areas. A specially developed resin system supports even wear - even at low contact pressure.

The new sanding belts deliver a visibly finer finish and reduce the number of reworking steps required in the polishing process thanks to minimized scratch formation. The aluminum oxide grain also ensures a particularly controlled and smooth surface. Norax N889 is available in various grit sizes and dimensions and is individually tailored to the customer's process requirements. This makes the high-performance abrasive belt ideal for materials such as steel, stainless steel, nickel, brass or chrome - for example prostheses, surgical instruments, ship propellers, fittings or vehicle components.
