Evonik increases production capacities for Acematt matting agents
Evonik's Coating Additives Business Line is expanding the production capacity of its precipitated Acematt matting agents at its own production facility in Taiwan. The significant increase in capacity is intended to meet the growing demand for matting agents in Asia.

In times of increasing logistical challenges, such an investment also directly benefits our partners and customers around the world by further improving our supply situation worldwide." The additional capacity is expected to be available in the second half of 2023.
The Acematt matting agents produced in Taiwan have the same properties as the products currently manufactured at Evonik's production site in Bonn. Under the Acematt brand, Evonik offers a variety of products for formulators - with the right balance of high matting performance on the one hand and easy incorporation into the coating system on the other. In addition, formulators can use Acematt products to achieve the entire spectrum of matting levels from silk matt to deep matt. The various areas of application range from textiles, plastics and leather to can and coil coatings.
