Metrohm delivers Viva 4.0, the new software generation for voltammetric analyses. The revised software solution contains numerous innovations and improvements.

Viva is the control and evaluation software for voltammetry measuring instruments, dosing devices and sample changers from Metrohm, which enable complete automation for voltammetry and CVS technology. With the new version Viva 4.0, Metrohm presents a comprehensively revised software solution for voltammetric analysis, which impresses with numerous innovations and improvements. According to the manufacturer, it is intended to set new standards in terms of speed, accuracy and user-friendliness. Voltammetry can help, for example, to check the composition of electroplating baths or to test coated surfaces.

The advantages of Viva 4.0 are "brightRC", a new response curve (RC) with increasing signals, separate storage of electrolyte and bright values, bright curve subtraction, a modernized user interface and enhanced compatibility and performance. For the first time, Viva also supports rising calibration curves - automatically recognized without special method settings. This enables greater flexibility in method development and more precise determination of additives such as brighteners. Measurements of electrolyte and blank values can now be carried out separately and used multiple times. This reduces reagent consumption, increases sample throughput and saves valuable time. The subtraction of complete blank curves enables better correction of non-specific interferences and ensures flatter background curves - ideal for demanding analyses where the analysis peak is located in a peak slope. Viva 4.0 is a powerful, future-proof platform for VA and CVS analysis - faster, more flexible and easier to use.
