WMV: Robot automation for Pulz Xtend coating system

At SurfaceTechnology 2026, WMV will be exhibiting its robot automation for the Pulz Xtend coating system, the all-rounder in zinc flake coating.
The WMV Pulz Xtend planetary circulation coating centrifuge is the all-rounder in zinc flake coating for nuts, washers, miniature screws through to bent stamped parts, clips and even construction and wood screws: the highest coating quality, maximum flexibility in terms of the shape, size and material of the parts and media savings of up to 30%. The further development of the drum changing system with robot automation for drum handling has significantly improved the output per coating layer to a total of 7,500 kg/hour - with a stable cycle time of just 2 minutes. The specially developed robot drum holder does not touch the coating medium and thus avoids any contamination.
All-rounder for zinc flake coating
According to the manufacturer, the Pulz technology impresses with its unique centrifuge performance: within seconds of immersion, it achieves a centrifugal force of up to 32 g. While simultaneously changing the position of the goods, excess coating medium is removed from even the smallest undercuts of the goods to be coated by means of item-specific centrifuging. The spun-off coating medium is collected and fed back into the process. The software for robot automation was also developed by WMV. This allows customer-specific processes to be precisely mapped and adapted to changing requirements at any time. The system is even more flexible and safer to use. With the 24/7 hotline service, customers can also rely on fast support specifically for the robot. Thanks to its compact design, the robot module can be integrated both in stand-alone systems and in the WMV modular system. WMV will be exhibiting at SurfaceTechnology Germany in May 2026 in Hall 1, Stand C41,(29).
