Timo Wiegand is the new Managing Director at Saint-Gobain Abrasives
As of September 1, 2023, Timo Wiegand (41) has taken over as the new General Manager Central Europe at Saint-Gobain Abrasives. He succeeds Christian Bako, who is simultaneously devoting himself to new tasks within the Saint-Gobain Group.
Timo Wiegand is no stranger to the leading abrasives expert Saint-Gobain Abrasives: From 2014 to 2017, he already worked as a manager in the company for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Since then, he has held various positions within the Saint-Gobain Group, the last two years in the role of HR Director for Saint-Gobain Germany and Austria.
The trained business economist is looking forward to the new task: "It is a good feeling to return to my former place of work and to be able to continue the excellent work of Christian Bako," says Timo Wiegand. "Our customers and partners will continue to benefit from our consistent service orientation and be able to rely on high-performance grinding and tooling solutions. I am looking forward to working together and exchanging ideas with our well-coordinated employee teams. Together with our customers, we will place our focus on growth opportunities and analyze how we can exploit these new potentials."
