SurTec: Traxit to Be Used in a New Application Area Cold Forming
Traxit Wire Lubrication, currently a brand of Klüber Lubrication, will become SurTec’s sixth application area effective January 1, 2027. The addition of cold forming further expands the SurTec portfolio.
The integration of Traxit as part of a strategic realignment within Freudenberg Chemical Specialities takes into account both the changing market conditions in wire drawing and the attractive growth potential in related areas of cold forming. By combining Traxit’s long-standing expertise in dry lubricants, wet drawing agents, and carrier coatings with SurTec’s global application expertise in metal pretreatment and industrial parts cleaning will further sharpen and significantly strengthen SurTec’s position in the metal forming market. According to the company, customers benefit from an integrated product portfolio and comprehensive application expertise across the entire spectrum of cold forming, extending far beyond Traxit’s core business in wire drawing. This new area of application continues to be based on Traxit’s existing customer base, its product portfolio, and the high quality of its technical service. This is complemented by SurTec’s global network and market expertise in the cold forming industry.
