The experts from SurTec and Chem-Trend are looking forward to exchanging ideas with visitors at their joint stand in Hall 7A, Stand 7A-110, at Euroguss 2026 from January 13 to 15 in Nuremberg. The focus will be on solutions for aluminum die-cast parts.

When it comes to the production of complex aluminum die-cast parts for the automotive industry, every detail is crucial. Sister companies SurTec and Chem-Trend, both part of Freudenberg Chemical Specialities, are pooling their expertise to provide perfectly coordinated process solutions along the entire value chain. At Euroguss 2026, they will jointly demonstrate how innovation is created through interdisciplinary collaboration. Today, aluminum die-cast parts perform key functions in numerous industrial sectors - from the automotive and electromobility industries to mechanical and plant engineering. They have to be light, stable and highly precise, while at the same time meeting the highest requirements in terms of bondability, paintability and weldability. The decisive factor for quality is not just the casting process, but also the precise interaction of release agents and downstream surface treatment.

SurTec and Chem-Trend test together

In joint projects, teams of experts from both companies are testing various combinations of release agents and surface treatments in order to develop optimum system solutions for series production. Decades of industry experience and in-depth technological understanding are incorporated: Chem-Trend contributes its expertise as a leading manufacturer of mold release agents, while SurTec contributes its in-depth know-how in chemical surface treatment. Together, this creates a process chain that is coordinated and tried and tested in practice, ensuring maximum efficiency and quality. "The requirements in the industry today are so complex that they can only be successfully realized through jointly developed solutions," explains Darko Tomazic, Key Account Manager Die Cast Europe at Chem-Trend. Dr. Yingjia Li, Research and Development Engineer at SurTec, adds: "Together with Chem-Trend, we offer our customers solutions that go beyond individual process steps. Our coordinated systems create real synergies for stable processes and reproducible results in series production." Large, structurally relevant aluminum components must be reproducibly manufactured and reliably coated or bonded. The integrated process solutions from SurTec and Chem-Trend have been tried and tested in practice, comprehensively tested and tailored to these requirements.
