SurTec at the SurfaceTechnology Germany 2026

SurTec will be presenting innovative and proven solutions from the fields of functional coatings and functional and decorative electroplating at the SurfaceTechnology Germany 2026 trade fair from May 5 to 7.
SurTec's presence at SurfaceTechnology Germany (Stand 22, Hall 1) will focus on high-performance, coordinated technologies that meet the highest functional requirements and allow freedom of design in surface technology. In the Functional Coatings area, SurTec will be presenting solutions for securing, sealing, assembling and disassembling screws and other fasteners. The products in the globally established Precote range offer reliable, process-safe functional coatings for a wide variety of industrial applications. The portfolio is supplemented by modern bonded coating technologies for metals, plastics and elastomers. These enable defined coefficients of friction, reduce wear and contribute to improved assembly and component performance. Functional coatings therefore make an important contribution to extending the service life of components and to process reliability in industrial production. Another focus of the trade fair presentation is on functional electroplating technology. SurTec has been offering coordinated processes for decades, for example the extremely stable Zn/Ni process SurTec 717 with an exceptionally high deposition rate. The inventors of the first Cr(VI)-free passivation SurTec 680 offer the right passivation and customized sealants for all electrolytes and applications in order to raise corrosion protection and functionality, such as dry lubrication, to a new level.
Decorative electroplating at SurfaceTechnology Germany
SurTec will also be presenting modern, trivalent chrome processes in the field of decorative electroplating that open up new design freedom. Starting with elegant satin effects, these processes enable high-quality, uniform surfaces with a contemporary look. SurTec 851 stands for semi-glossy, non-reflective nickel surfaces with exceptional uniformity. The portfolio of trivalent chrome coatings also offers a wide range of colors from light to dark tones. With SurTec 883 XT, reliably identical color values to classic chromium(VI) processes were achieved for the first time in 2017. The colored electrolytes SurTec 881 ACL, SurTec 886 and SurTec 888 enable warm to neutral-dark shades. Benjamin Diener, Sales Manager at SurTec Deutschland GmbH, explains: "SurTec is continuously developing its mature, tried-and-tested technologies, thus creating sustainable solutions for the long term. At SurfaceTechnology Germany, we will be demonstrating how proven processes from functional coatings and functional and decorative electroplating can be combined to create integrated system solutions from a single source."
