FreiLacke has been recognized as one of the best employers in Germany in the "Germany's Best Employers 2026" competition by Great Place to Work. The award stands for special commitment to creating a trusting and supportive culture of cooperation within the company.

The award is based on an anonymous and representative survey of FreiLacke employees. Topics of the survey include trust in managers, team spirit, fairness, appreciation, respect and identification with the company. In addition, as part of a culture audit, management is asked what measures and programs have been put in place to create an attractive corporate culture. German companies of all sectors and sizes took part in the current Great Place To Work national competition "Germany's Best Employers 2026". They voluntarily submitted to an independent audit of their workplace culture by the Great Place To Work Institute and the judgment of their own employees. The list of the best employers was determined from the overall field of participants (benchmarking differentiated by company size). In addition to the state-wide award, FreiLacke also received the "Best Employer in Baden-Württemberg" and "Best Employer in Industry and Manufacturing" awards, as well as the "Great Start" award for excellent training in 2025.

"It is impressive how consistently and sustainably the participating companies in the Great Place To Work initiative regularly gather feedback from their employees in order to further develop their company, even in a market environment that is sometimes so volatile," says Andreas Schubert, Managing Director of Great Place To Work Germany. "The fact that they made it onto the list of the best out of over 1,000 participating companies shows the top quality in terms of the corporate culture practiced." Employee feedback was consistently processed and measures were systematically implemented within the company. "It was important to us to further optimize the already good results together with our employees in order to further improve our workplaces and corporate culture. Good working conditions and motivated employees are also key building blocks for good and innovative products for our customers," says Managing Director Dr. Rainer Frei. Frank Hauser, Managing Director of the German Great Place to Work Institute, takes a similar view: "The award stands for credible management that works fairly and respectfully with employees, for a high level of employee identification and for a strong team spirit within the company. Where a motivated team works, innovative solutions are also created for customers.
