FreiLacke celebrated the construction of the new Product Technology Center (PTC) with a ground-breaking ceremony. The three-storey building with state-of-the-art laboratory and application technology is being built within the factory premises and is due to be ready for occupancy in early 2027.

FreiLacke's PTC will be the technical heart of the company in the future: in addition to spacious laboratories for development, a modern technical center and a central training center are being built. Here, customers can not only receive practical training, but also experience and test the application of FreiLacke's coating systems using the latest application technology. The new building is FreiLacke's response to the growing demands in product development and customer support. Technical center areas that were previously spread across different buildings will be brought together, while the increasing demand for customer training will be met efficiently. The PTC also creates additional office and laboratory space and solves existing capacity bottlenecks.

FreiLacke Product Technology Center as a milestone

The building will have a floor area of around 550 m² per storey and will comprise three floors plus a technical superstructure. Architecturally, it is based on the FreiLacke administration building and will be completely barrier-free. Sustainability was at the forefront of the planning. With the PTC, FreiLacke is sending a clear signal for the future by further developing the Döggingen site, strengthening its innovative power with state-of-the-art laboratories and application technology and expanding customer support with a central training center. "The PTC is a milestone in our company's development," emphasizes the management. "We are not only creating space for innovation here, but also for a close exchange with our customers." The construction work will be completed by the end of 2026. The move into the new building is planned for early 2027.
