Adler Expands Its Presence in the Swedish Market

The paint manufacturer Adler continues to expand its operations in Sweden. At the Trädagars trade show, the company presented coating solutions for woodworking and established contacts with manufacturers and processors.
At Trädagars, an industry event for the Swedish woodworking sector, Adler presented its portfolio of wood surface coatings in late August. Carpenters, furniture and window manufacturers, and suppliers gathered at several locations in the Jönköping region. Adler has been increasingly active in the Swedish market for about a year and a half. These activities are led by Sales Director Magnus Törnqvist and Technical Sales Manager Marcus Ericsson. According to the company, it has acquired several customers and established a dealer network during this time. Distribution partners include MYAB in Skellefteå, Prochroma in Falun, Ekholms in Jönköping, and Temamix in Gothenburg. They distribute paints, stains, and wood preservatives and provide consulting and technical support.
Water-based coatings as an alternative to solvent-based systems
Adler views the stricter environmental requirements in Scandinavia as a key factor driving market development. The company believes these requirements are increasing demand for alternatives to solvent-based coating systems. Added to this are regulations regarding formaldehyde emissions, which are particularly relevant for acid-curing products. Adler is focusing, among other things, on water-based systems. Its product portfolio includes the Bluefin Pigmores 4-in-1 pigmented varnish for furniture and interior design. The company also offers CCT systems for exterior applications, Legno Smart wood oil, UV coatings such as Pigmolux, and water-based 1K coating systems. By expanding its sales network, Adler aims to further strengthen its presence in the Swedish market.
