Bodo Möller Chemie strengthens market presence in Spain with Quitec

The Bodo Möller Chemie Group is integrating the customer base of the Spanish specialty chemicals distributor Química Tecnológica Norte S.L. (Quitec) into its sales network as of June 1, 2025. Quitec is a long-standing sales partner of Henkel in the field of industrial surface treatment.
With the acquisition of Quitec, Bodo Möller Chemie is specifically strengthening its market position in Spain and at the same time deepening its strategic partnership with Henkel in order to be able to serve customers even more comprehensively in the future. The increasing demand for sustainable and process-oriented solutions in surface treatment requires local presence, technical expertise and strong partnerships. Against this background, the Bodo Möller Chemie Group is continuing its growth course and integrating customer contacts from the sales network of its long-standing Henkel partner Quitec. The San Sebastián-based company specializes in the distribution of specialty chemical products for industrial applications. Its portfolio includes industrial cleaning agents and products for paint pre-treatment. One focus is on marketing the Henkel brand Bonderite, which offers process-optimizing solutions in surface technology - from cleaning and metal pretreatment to corrosion protection and maintenance. The products are primarily used in painting and degreasing systems, by metal finishers and in the manufacturing industry.
Bodo Möller Chemie wants to expand in Spain
As part of the takeover, Bodo Möller Chemie will take over the existing business relationships and actively develop them further in order to strengthen its market presence in the surface treatment sector and further expand its close cooperation with Henkel. "Quitec has established itself as a reliable partner in the market over many years and has close customer relationships," says Lionel Breuilly, Managing Director of Bodo Möller Chemie Spain. "We not only want to continue these relationships, but also to deepen them in a targeted manner - with technical expertise and customized solutions." The acquisition is part of the long-term expansion strategy: by expanding its activities in Spain, the company is underlining its role as a solution partner for specialty chemicals.
