The Bodo Möller Chemie Group will be showcasing its portfolio of adhesive and foam solutions for the further development of electromobility at the Battery Show Europe 2025. In addition to proven adhesives and sealants, structural polyurethane foams will also play a decisive role in battery architecture in the future.

Electromobility is booming - and the Bodo Möller Chemie Group is one of the key suppliers of material solutions in this area with over 2,000 projects worldwide. As a technical solution provider, the company supports manufacturers along the entire automotive value chain with innovative adhesives and sealants, thermally conductive materials and, more recently, structural polyurethane foams for battery applications. "The requirements for materials in e-mobility are constantly increasing," explains Dr. Christoph Schnöll, Vice President of Technology at Bodo Möller Chemie. In addition to thermal conductivity and structural strength, aspects such as sustainability and recyclability are increasingly coming into focus. Special adhesives play a key role in the battery environment in particular. They securely bond cells, modules and housings together and contribute to the performance and longevity of battery systems through targeted heat dissipation. In addition, sealants and potting compounds are used to reliably protect sensitive components from environmental influences. The company's broad understanding of technology enables precise material selection for every application.

A current highlight in the product portfolio are structural PU foams, which are used in battery housings as cell separators or in sandwich structures. Despite their low weight, they give the systems high mechanical strength, improve crash stability and have a temperature-insulating effect - a plus point for safety and efficiency. At the same time, they reduce vibrations in the vehicle. "We see ourselves not only as a distributor, but also as a development partner," emphasizes Bernhard Vreden, Key Account Manager at Bodo Möller Chemie. The company works closely with well-known material manufacturers such as Henkel, Huntsman, Dow and DuPont and offers its own laboratory capacities in addition to technical expertise. Another forward-looking topic is "debonding on demand" - the ability to specifically loosen structural adhesive bonds as required. This approach enables sustainable repairs and is an important step towards a circular economy. Bodo Möller Chemie will be exhibiting at the Battery Show Europe 2025 from June 3 to 5 in Hall 6, Stand 6-B46.
