SurfaceTechnology 2024: Helmut Fischer shows electroplating bath analysis
With its latest device innovation, the Fischerscope Xan Liquid Analyzer, the Helmut Fischer Group is setting a new standard in the analysis of metal concentrations in electroplating baths - and will be presenting it at SurfaceTechnology Germany 2024.
Electroplating baths are subject to process-related fluctuations that have a considerable influence on the deposition behavior and the resulting coating thickness. This is precisely where the Helmut Fischer Group, as a leading measurement technology specialist, comes in. The new Fischerscope Xan Liquid Analyzer inline measuring device is based on X-ray fluorescence analysis and enables fully automatic and continuous analysis of the metal concentration of up to four electroplating baths. The high measuring precision is unique on the market. At the heart of the measuring device are the four highly developed flow-through measuring cells. This component was developed in-house specifically for the temperatures, pH values, salt loads, solvents and particle loads typical of the process. Fully automatic preventive rinsing, cleaning and calibration processes ensure a long service life for the measuring cells, which represents a clear advantage over other measuring systems and measuring methods. Separate inlets and outlets simplify the bath supply considerably and prevent cross-contamination.
The new device with intuitive touch display can be used as a simple inline measuring device or as a complex multi-channel inline measuring system with full integration into a local production control system (MES). It has a fieldbus interface that enables connection to higher-level control systems. All this and many other clever features ensure greater process reliability, better coating quality and significant cost savings in the industry. Helmut Fischer will be exhibiting this measuring device and other measuring and analysis systems at the SurfaceTechnology Germany 2024 trade fair on stand B59 in hall 1.
