New UV dose measurement system from Hönle for precise UV measurement

With the UV Scan MACS powered by Pruuve, Hönle offers a new type of UV dose measurement system for precise, reproducible measurements in the laboratory and in UV processes.
According to the manufacturer, the UV Scan MACS from Hönle sets new standards in terms of simple and precise determination of the UV dose. The innovative measuring system is based on a patented technology - based on a combination of photophysics and optics - and guarantees maximum reliability, reproducibility and easy handling. The application begins with the calibration of the test strip using the MacsReader. A supplied template helps with positioning under the detector of the reader. In the next step, the MacsStrip measuring strip is glued to the substrate and then passes through the UV field of the system.
After irradiation by the UV lamps installed there, the MacsReader is used again and determines the UV dose applied at the defined measuring point. The determined UV radiation dose is now shown on the MacsReader display in mJ/cm². Good to know: The display value is based on the sum of the measured values of the UVA, UVB and UVC range of the tried and tested Power Puck II measuring device from EIT 2.0. The self-adhesive and flexible MacsStrips are even suitable for applications where conventional test strips often fail. MacsStrips achieve uniquely accurate measurement results in horizontal UV processes, but also on vertical surfaces, in roller applications and in other areas that are difficult to access. Another decisive advantage is the uncomplicated shelf life: MacsStrips have a shelf life of around twelve months under normal room conditions.
