VOA Appoints Kathrin Lämmermann as New Managing Director

With a new managing director, the Association for the Surface Finishing of Aluminum (VOA) is setting the course for the future: Kathrin Lämmermann will succeed long-time managing director Dr. Alexa A. Becker starting in July.
After more than 17 years on the VOA’s executive board, Dr. Alexa A. Becker is stepping down from her position. During this time, she played a key role in guiding the association’s development and, together with the board of directors, provided important impetus for its direction. Throughout her tenure, Dr. Alexa A. Becker systematically expanded contacts with the business community, political circles, and the media; represented members’ interests in national and international committees; and continuously developed the VOA’s continuing education programs. Particularly noteworthy are the organization of the 2011 Estal and Qualicoat Congress and the anniversary event featuring the fashion show “stories of surfaces – 60 Years of Aluminum Surface Finishing in Fashion Images” in 2022—both held in Munich. The VOA Board of Directors thanks Dr. Alexa A. Becker for her many years of collaboration and her exceptional dedication, and wishes her all the best for the future.
