The German Aluminum Surface Finishing Association (VOA) has published its 2025/2026 Annual Report, which provides a comprehensive overview of the association's diverse activities and developments over the past twelve months.

The highlights of the VOA Annual Report 2025/2026 are the various further training opportunities for anodizers and coaters as well as those interested in the industry, with which the VOA provides impetus for daily practice, the national and international commitment to the interests of the industry in business, politics and the media as well as the intensive networking of the VOA and its member companies. In order to guarantee the high standards in surface finishing in the long term, continuous further training and quality assurance are essential. As a trade association, the VOA has been making an important contribution to these two pillars for many years, as the association uses targeted training courses, seminars and workshops to ensure that specialists in the industry are always up to date with the latest knowledge, improve their skills and learn about new technologies and processes; always with the overarching aim of ensuring product quality, strengthening the competitiveness of companies and promoting professional solutions. In addition, as general licensee of the global quality marks Qualanod and Qualicoat, the VOA supports the industry in meeting international standards and increasing acceptance and confidence in the surface finishing of aluminum.

VOA represents the interests of the surface finishing industry

As a trade association, the VOA represents the interests of the surface finishing industry at national and international level and ensures that the specific concerns and challenges of its members are heard and taken into account in legislative and decision-making processes. The VOA actively and purposefully presents the perspectives of its member companies in numerous discussions with politicians, authorities and other relevant institutions, as well as in the media. The VOA receives support from strong umbrella organizations such as the vbw - Vereinigung der Bayerischen Wirtschaft e. V. - as well as the Bundesvereinigung der Deutschen Arbeitgeberverbände e. V. (BDA) and the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e. V. (BDI). At European level, the European Association for Surface Treatment on Aluminum (ESTAL) gives the VOA additional weight. The 2025 General Assembly in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler once again underlined how valuable personal encounters are in a time of change. Together, the member companies are facing up to the diverse challenges, professionally pooling the interests of the industry and exchanging expertise. All of this is possible because the association can count on the voluntary support of many members. VOA Managing Director Dr. Alexa A. Becker: "We would like to thank everyone who is involved - on the Executive Board, in the Technical Commission, as experts in the VOA project groups and in the test committees and international bodies of Qualanod, Qualicoat and Qualistrip, the innovative quality mark for paint stripping." The annual report is now available for download on the association's website. The VOA invites all member companies and interested parties to find out more and also to attend this year's General Assembly in Augsburg from June 17 to 19, 2026.
