VOA General Assembly 2026 in Augsburg
The Verband für die Oberflächenveredelung von Aluminium e. V. (VOA) invites its members and interested guests to its 62nd General Meeting from June 17 to 19, 2026 in Augsburg at "Hotel Maximilian's".
The VOA General Assembly is once again the meeting place for the surface finishing industry for 2026. In addition to the opportunity for intensive professional exchange, the association will focus on technical topics and will also present three interesting lectures against the background of the current political discussion and the cost development for employers. In addition, regular board elections are scheduled this year, as well as the election of the auditor. The three-day event will start with the meeting of the Technical Circle on June 17, 2026 for all technically interested parties from member companies. The agenda includes relevant industry topics such as testing and the further development of the international quality marks Qualanod, Qualicoat and Qalistrip or the current revision of the BREF STM (Best Available Techniques Reference Document Surface Treatment of Metals and Plastics).
Top-class presentations at the VOA General Assembly 2026
In the public part of the general meeting on June 18, the VOA is offering three presentations by top-class speakers: Dr. Irmgard Stippler, CEO of AOK Bayern, will speak on "Health insurance from an employer's perspective", followed by Brigitte Iding, Chairwoman of the Management Board of Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bayern Süd, who will speak on "Pension insurance from an employer's perspective: maintaining work performance"; she will be followed by Dr. Rüdiger Maas from the Institut für Generationenforschung Augsburg, with his presentation "Challenge in the company: Using generational diversity as a strength". VOA Managing Director Dr. Alexa A. Becker emphasizes: "Our association attaches great importance to using the event as an industry get-together, where guests and non-members are of course also welcome. In this way, we enable professional exchange with important representatives of the surface finishing industry, participation in current and interesting specialist presentations and, at the same time, interested parties get to know the association better."
New board elections at the VOA
The statutory general meeting, which is reserved for members only, will take place directly after the public part of the event. The agenda includes the election of the Executive Board for the years 2026 to 2030 and the election of the auditor. In this context, the VOA is particularly pleased that younger representatives from member companies are also interested in this important honorary position. During the 2026 General Assembly and the numerous program items, there will also be the opportunity to get to know the candidates better before the election and to ask them questions. A plant tour at Everllence SE, formerly MAN Energy Solutions, is planned as part of the supporting program. Registrations for the VOA General Assembly from June 17 to 19, 2026 are now open.
