SKion Water acquires Norwegian water and environment group Enwa
SKion Water has acquired the Norwegian water and environmental group Enwa AS. Enwa's owners, Sverre Hanssen and his family, have successfully completed their thorough succession planning process in close cooperation with the company's management.
"The new owner is a perfect fit for our corporate culture and values. I am confident that I can hand over my life's work to SKion Water," says Sverre Hanssen, who, together with his family, is thus achieving his express goal of finding a new long-term shareholder who will successfully continue the company. SKion Water is owned by Susanne Klatten, a German entrepreneur with a commitment to water. Founded more than a decade ago, SKion Water today brings together a global group of water technology companies with more than 4,500 employees and sales of €1 billion. The company's portfolio includes reliable and efficient water and wastewater treatment and technology solutions for municipalities as well as industrial and commercial water users. The Norwegian and Nordic water markets face a daunting task when it comes to expanding and modifying water and wastewater treatment plants.
