QIB Trainee Award 2026 "Everyone needs powder" - apply now

As in the past, the QIB is also presenting the "Everyone Needs Powder Award" in 2026. This year, for the 7th time, the three best trainees in the profession of process mechanic for coating technology with a focus on powder coating will be honored with a prize. The "Everyone Needs Powder Award" is intended to emphasize the importance and appreciation of training in powder coating. Training is a guarantee of quality and the answer to the shortage of skilled workers. After all, trainees are the future skilled workers who form the basis for quality and thus for the future of the company.

Process mechanic trainees for coating technology as participants

All trainees in the profession of process mechanic for coating technology with a focus on powder coating who successfully complete their training in the 2026 calendar year can take part. Membership of the training company in the QIB is not of interest here - only the qualification of the graduate counts. Applications for the prize can be submitted to the QIB office until October 24, 2026. The winners will receive a trophy and prize money.

Expert jury evaluates applications for the QIB Trainee Award

The following documents must be submitted: CV, half-year and final report, documentation of the final thesis as a PDF and a brief description of the training company with eight to ten pictures. The documents must be submitted by e-mail to info@qib-online.com. An expert jury will evaluate the applications received and select the three best trainees. The award ceremony will take place as part of the Praxisforum Industriebeschichtung on November 19 and 20, 2026 in Wetzlar. The award winners will be informed in advance and invited to the 2026 Practice Forum (incl. overnight stay).
