QIB trainee award "Everyone needs powder" 2024 presented
The QIB training award "Everyone needs powder" was presented on November 14, 2024 at the Praxisforum Industriebeschichtung in Wetzlar. The best graduates of the 2024 training year in the profession of "Process mechanic for coating technology" were honored.
The "Everyone needs powder" award, sponsored by QIB e.V., recognizes outstanding achievements by young talents who impress with their technical expertise, commitment and innovative approaches. This year, Maria Seeber (19), apprentice at ROPA Fahrzeug- und Maschinenbau GmbH, won first place, followed by Samuel Rist (19), apprentice at Josef Wagner GmbH, in second place, Andreas Becher (22) from Waku Reutlingen GmbH and Arben Imeri (24) from Kaeser Kompressoren in Coburg in third place.
Coating technology training award with significance for the industry
In his laudatory speech, Matthias Bader, member of the jury and representative of the Powder Academy, emphasized the great importance of well-trained specialists for the future of the industry. "Highly qualified skilled workers are an indispensable building block for securing the industrial location and overcoming future challenges," emphasized Bader. The energy crisis and economic pressure make this more urgent than ever. In addition to prize money totaling 1,000 euros, the winners were given the opportunity to attend the Praxisforum Industriebeschichtung congress - one of the most important industry gatherings - free of charge. With over 240 participants, the congress offered insights into technological innovations and current challenges in the coating world.
Top-class jury for the "Everyone needs powder" award
An experienced jury consisting of Marko Schmidt (Besser Lackieren), Markus Single, (GDS 1 Sindelfingen), Michael Wehnhardt (AkzoNobel Germany) and Matthias Bader (Pulverakademie) decided on the winners. With the "Everyone needs powder" award, QIB e.V. as the award sponsor and the industry show how important the promotion of young talent is. The event was not only an occasion for honoring, but also an opportunity to look to the future of the coating industry.
