OptiSense introduces new industrial sensors for coating thickness measurement with the new generation of PaintChecker Line laser sensors and the angled PaintChecker Angle variant. They save time during installation and simplify mounting.

The path to commissioning measuring and testing technology in a coating plant should be as simple and efficient as possible. In the sensor sector, too, there are solutions that get designers and installers to their goal faster. One example is the industrial sensors from OptiSense with a completely new design that makes any mounting bracket superfluous. It saves time during installation and simplifies assembly. The greater the time pressure, the more valuable the man-hours saved. This is especially true in plant engineering in the coating industry. For project managers and integrators, the search for time-saving solutions is therefore essential. An intelligent example to speed up projects are the sensor solutions PaintChecker Line and PaintChecker Angle from OptiSense. For many plant engineers, this time saving is an important criterion when choosing sensors - especially since the miniaturized high-performance sensors from OptiSense not only pay off during initial installation, but also during operation.

The new generation of OptiSense laser sensors PaintChecker Line and the angled variant PaintChecker Angle are immensely resilient even in the harshest environments thanks to the robust industrial housing. And replacement of the sensors also runs smoothly and quickly without the need for complex mounting brackets. The sensors have a diode laser as the light source - with all the advantages of semiconductor technology, such as long service life, high efficiency and absolute vibration resistance. The measurement ranges of the coating thickness are between 1 and 1,000 μm. The optimized thermal design enables continuous operation with high measurement rates up to 2.5 Hz. The laser sensors achieve protection class IP 50, weigh 330 g and measure 38 x 36 x 104 mm as PaintChecker Line or 77 x 36 x 65 mm as Angle Angle Sensor. The industrial sensors are also available as high-power variants. The models equipped with LARES technology are eye-safe.
