OptiSense on a company trip in the south of the USA
From May 29 to June 2, 2023, the NRW Foreign Trade Promotion visited the southern states of the USA under the motto "Market Development/Knowledge Transfer - Automotive & Smart Manufacturing". Among the participants of the trip was also Dr. Jens Heymans, Managing Director of OptiSense.
The innovative power of the American southern states is enormous: With a high concentration of engineering talent, supplier companies and a large number of research institutions, the region of Georgia, North and South Carolina is a true pioneer in the automotive industry and smart production. No wonder, then, that the German delegation's trip was characterized by intensive knowledge exchange, inspiring conversations and promising meetings with industry experts, government representatives and research institutions. The trip enabled the German companies to establish valuable contacts and combine existing know-how with innovative automotive solutions.
By sharing expertise and exploring new business opportunities, networks were expanded and future collaborations were initiated. "The company trip showed how important the southern states are for the automotive and smart manufacturing industry," summarizes Dr. Heymans, "we would like to thank NRW. Global Business, GACC South - German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern US and IHK Düsseldorf International for organizing this successful trip. Through their support we were able to get to know the Southern US as a dynamic and innovative region for Automotive & Smart Manufacturing. We identified numerous cooperation potentials that open up new ways for us to work together."
