Groundbreaking ceremony for new Adler service center in Herford

Eleven years after Adler Lacke landed at its German service base in Herford, the previous location is becoming too cramped. Therefore, the Austrian wood coatings expert is building a new service base and investingz 10 million euros for this purpose.
"With our new service center, we can offer our customers even more comprehensive and faster service than we already do today," emphasized Heico Cuwalsky, Adler Sales Manager for Central and Northern Germany, at the official groundbreaking ceremony in early June. For example, the new building will be equipped with a modern tinting station in which special shades can be produced for a large number of commercial and industrial products from the Adler range. This rapid on-site service will benefit Adler customers, as will the modern application technology competence center, where Adler coatings experts will recreate customer situations to develop solutions for technical concerns of all kinds. In addition, a training area will be set up - so that the practical seminars from the Adler Academy can also be offered in Herford in the future. The logistical heart of the new service center is the ground-level storage and handling hall with a significantly increased storage capacity. This means that customers in the region - from one-man businesses to industrial furniture manufacturers - can be supplied with Adler's coatings, stains, paints and wood protection products even faster and more flexibly.
The generous expansion also brings with it a significant increase in jobs: by 2030, around 20 employees are expected to be working directly in the nine building - after Adler started with three employees in 2012 and most recently had nine base employees fulfilling customer requirements. Together with the sales team, also numbering around twenty, they look after commercial and industrial customers in the region with quality products and competent service. Adler attaches great importance to sustainable planning and construction: the building will be equipped with an air-source heat pump and a photovoltaic system. Construction will continue until late summer 2024, with the official opening and inauguration scheduled for early 2025. "The new base is another milestone on our successful expansion path. From humble beginnings, the business has developed so well here in the heart of Germany that this step is now possible. Herford is the ideal location for us!", Bernd Pichler, Managing Director of Adler Germany, is also pleased.
