Gas detector from Dräger for personal monitoring

The new X-am 5800 portable gas detector from Dräger for personal monitoring offers measurement options for many gases and can transmit data directly via Bluetooth. It has a particularly shock-resistant Ex sensor and can measure up to six gases simultaneously.
The X-am 5800 portable multi-gas detector measures up to six gases simultaneously, depending on the sensor configuration. It complements Dräger's X-am series in addition to the already available X-am 2800. The newly developed CatEx sensor is very robust and can be set to measure combustible vapors such as gasoline, diesel and nonane as well as the measurement gases methane, propane or hydrogen. It has an optional automatic measuring range switch for methane, enabling measurements up to 100 vol.% of the gas. In addition, the sensor is particularly resistant to poisoning by silicone or pollutants. Compared to the X-am 2800, the X-am 5800 can be equipped with a larger number of different sensors for measuring toxic gases. It can measure chlorine, ammonia, hydrogen cyanide and many other hazardous gases. The optional "Toxic Twin" function, for example, triggers a specially calculated alarm if carbon monoxide and hydrocyanic acid are present together in the ambient air.
Dräger develops and produces the sensors itself, including the electrochemical sensors. As a result, they are very precisely matched to the device. With the attachable X-am pump, users can also use the X-am 5800 and the X-am 28001, which was launched last year, for clearance measurement. The X-am 5800 can be used together with the cloud-based software solution Dräger Gas Detection Connect. The device is comfortable to wear with a newly developed and robust clip due to its small size and low weight. It is easy to operate even when wearing gloves due to its large buttons. The large display clearly shows important information such as gas readings, alarms and time. A green status light indicates that the device is ready for use. User guidance is voice-free. The X-am 5800 is approved for Ex zone 0 and tested to protection class IP 68.
