CWS Powder Coatings Becomes Kansai Helios Germany
CWS Powder Coatings has been operating under the name Kansai Helios Germany since October. With the merger with its German sister company, the integration of the powder coatings business into the corporate group continues.
Effective October 1, 2026, CWS Powder Coatings GmbH will operate under the name Kansai Helios Germany GmbH and will simultaneously merge with its German sister company of the same name. This move further advances the integration of the powder coatings manufacturer into the internationally active corporate group. Since July 2025, the former CWS powder coatings have been marketed under the Kansai Helios brand. With the name change now complete, the company name will also be aligned with the unified brand identity. For customers and business partners, the existing points of contact and teams will remain the same. At the same time, the powder coating business will in the future draw on the resources as well as the development and application expertise of the entire corporate group.
Powder Coatings Business Fully Integrated into Kansai Helios
CWS looks back on a long history in coatings manufacturing. The company’s origins date back to 1864. The powder coatings business is currently based in Düren. Kansai Helios acquired CWS in 2023 and subsequently integrated it into the corporate group in stages. With the rebranding in the summer of 2025, a significant step in this integration had already been completed. The merger and the adoption of the unified corporate name “Kansai Helios Germany” now continue this development at the corporate level as well. With this move, the company aims in particular to strengthen its unified market presence in Germany and Europe.
