Kansai Helios with new powder coating production facility in the USA

Kansai Helios is investing 20 million US dollars in a new powder coating production facility in Ohio. The state-of-the-art site will strengthen the company's market position in North America, quadruple its capacity and create around 50 new jobs in the Columbus region by 2030.
Kansai Helios, a member of the Kansai Paint Group, has taken over a state-of-the-art production facility for innovative powder coatings in Johnstown (Ohio, USA). The 135,000 square foot facility will serve as a central hub to more efficiently serve automotive and industrial customers in North America. With an investment of 20 million US dollars, the project marks Kansai Helios' largest expansion step in North America to date.
Sustainable powder coating production with four times the capacity
The 28-hectare site combines state-of-the-art infrastructure with sustainable design elements. Air-conditioned production areas, clean rooms, advanced safety systems and an attractive location create optimal conditions for high-quality paint production. The new facility will initially be equipped with production technology from Germany in order to produce powder coatings of the highest quality - durable, visually appealing and environmentally friendly. "With this step, we are quadrupling our production capacity and setting a milestone for our future in North America," emphasizes Bastian Krauss, President and Managing Director of the Kansai Helios Group. Powder coatings are considered particularly environmentally friendly and help customers to comply with stricter regulations.
Connection to the global Kansai Helios network
Around 50 new jobs are to be created in the region by 2030 - from production to technology and administration. Thanks to the close connection to the global Kansai Helios network, customers in the USA will benefit from local support and an international technological edge. Mayor Donald Barnard welcomes the relocation as a benefit for the economy and employment. New employees will receive comprehensive training in cooperation with European locations. "We are not only building a production facility, but also a strong local team that lives our global values," says Krauss.
