Kansai Helios has completed the acquisition of CWS Lackfabrik GmbH ("CWS"). The transaction was already announced at the end of November 2022. Kansai Helios thus intends to expand its market position in the coatings industry.

According to the company, the transaction is a milestone for Kansai Helios and is in line with the Group's ESG and growth strategy. It perfectly complements and expands the company's competencies in powder coatings and resins, as well as its existing liquid coatings business, and strengthens Kansai Helios' strategy as a systems provider.

With the closing, Kansai Helios becomes the new owner of CWS Lackfabrik GmbH and its group companies in Germany, USA, Denmark and Poland. CWS is a well-known manufacturer of powder coatings and liquid and solid synthetic resins with a tradition of more than 150 years, headquartered in Düren (Germany) and employing around 250 people. The company is in excellent shape in terms of sales, profits, development potential and market share. This consolidation represents a long-term development opportunity for Kansai Helios to expand its market position in the coatings industry, especially in powder coatings and synthetic resins.
