Axalta brochure on caravan surface repair

Axalta has published a reference book with tips for caravan repairs. The special mix of materials, the low sheet thickness and the special surface structure of caravans require special knowledge for repairs.
Repairing motorhomes and caravans is very different from repairing cars. This is mainly due to the fact that almost all caravans have a body made of sandwich panels. These glued and pressed layers of material usually consist of aluminum, expanded polystyrene (EPS), extruded polystyrene foam (XPS), polyurethane (PU), plywood and fiberglass-reinforced plastic (GRP). In addition, the thickness of the paint layers is significantly lower than for normal cars.
Special surface structure for caravans
The special mix of materials, the low sheet thickness and the special surface structure require in-depth knowledge for repairs. The Axalta Caravan brochure "We make you fit for your caravan business" helps you get started with caravan repairs and provides tips on how to avoid mistakes. It also provides answers to the following questions: How can workshops and paint stores make themselves fit for the caravanning sector? What costs can be expected? Where do typical mistakes lurk? In addition, the two technical service specialists David Kukies and Harald Weckmann teach the theory and practice of caravan repairs at Axalta's caravan seminars at the Axalta Refinish Academy in Cologne.
