Axalta Coating Systems has appointed Tim Bowes as president of its Global Industrial Coatings business. Effective January 27, 2025, Bowes will succeed Shelley Bausch in the company's industrial coatings unit, who will step down from her role.

Tim Bowes is the new President of Axalta's global industrial coatings business, previously Senior Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer of the company. Prior to joining Axalta, he was Senior Vice President and President of Electrification, Industrial, Aftermarket, Purchasing & Supply Chain at Meritor. Mr. Bowes was also Senior Vice President and President of Casting at American Axle & Manufacturing and CEO and President of Transtar Industries, an industrial and automotive aftermarket company. He has also held leadership positions at ITT Automotive and Intermet. Tim Bowes has lived and worked in Asia and Europe and holds a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and a Bachelor's degree from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan.
