Dr.-Ing. Karl Busch GmbH, a member of the Busch Group, has acquired AVT GmbH. AVT (Atmosphären- und Vakuum-Technik) offers spare parts and services for industrial furnaces used for the heat treatment of workpieces.

AVT from Kleve offers high-quality, durable spare parts and services for industrial furnaces from all established manufacturers in the field of atmospheric and vacuum technology. With the integration of the company, the Busch Group is expanding its position in the market for industrial vacuum solutions and opening up new market opportunities. "With AVT GmbH, we are gaining a competent partner for the service business for heat treatment equipment. The acquisition of the company will enable us to enter this market. We look forward to working with AVT to further drive the growth of the Busch Group as a complete solution provider in numerous industrial applications," explains Roland Zundl, Managing Director of Dr.-Ing.

Heat treatment in industrial furnaces usually involves heating and cooling metal workpieces in a controlled manner in order to optimize their properties. In this way, metal objects can be hardened, for example. If an industrial furnace is a vacuum furnace, particularly high temperatures are possible and gases and gas mixtures can be used. AVT GmbH focuses on the provision of spare parts, technical services and heat treatment systems for various industrial sectors such as the automotive industry, aerospace technology, the tool and mechanical engineering industry, medical technology and contract hardening shops. AVT was founded in 2019 by Marc Angenendt and Frank Schaefer, who remain active in the management of the company.
