AkzoNobel announces restructuring and job cuts
AkzoNobel wants to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Processes are to be simplified and around 2,000 jobs are to be cut worldwide.
AkzoNobel has announced the next steps to reduce costs and increase the efficiency of its functions. This initiative aims to simplify operations, accelerate decision-making and streamline the company's management structure. A key element of the plan is the reduction of around 2,000 jobs worldwide.
"Over the last three quarters, we have demonstrated our ability to grow. We want to accelerate profitable growth by optimizing our functional organization to become more agile in volatile markets and offset headwinds such as rising labor costs," explains Greg Poux-Guillaume, CEO of AkzoNobel. The structural adjustments should be completed by the end of 2025.
