Whatever renowned furniture, kitchen and door manufacturers want: Adler-Lacke's Pigmolux range meets almost all requirements. The UV color varnish system is now available to processors quickly and flexibly thanks to decentralized sampling.

The "Pigmo" stands for color, the "Lux" for the power of light: Combined, the terms form the most successful and popular industrial coatings range from Austria's leading coatings manufacturer Adler. Countless furniture factories, renowned kitchen manufacturers, companies from the door industry throughout Europe: they all rely on the versatile UV color coating system from the Tyrolean paint laboratory for high-quality and durable surfaces in the most beautiful shades. "Basically, there are two variants to choose from with Pigmolux DC and Pigmolux HQ," explains Daniel Pesserer, Head of the Furniture Industry Division at Adler. Pigmolux DC - which means "dualcure" - cures by two different mechanisms: on the one hand by irradiation with UV light, and on the other hand by classic crosslinking with a hardener. This brings with it the enormous advantage that even those parts of the workpiece that are insufficiently illuminated by the UV lamps - so-called shadows - crosslink completely, and that even three-dimensional and subordinate parts can be coated with Pigmolux DC without UV irradiation. "However, Pigmolux DC can just as easily be used as a single component and cured only by radiation - as is required, for example, for the efficient coating of white doors or panels," Pesserer points out. However, both processing methods ensure equally high mechanical and chemical resistance, excellent resistance to the effects of light and good filling power of the coated surfaces.

On the other hand, those who value even better stackability and thus rational processing, as well as maximum durability, reach for Pigmolux HQ. The high-quality version is, so to speak, the "sports car among UV coatings. It can be used, for example, to easily coat integrated recessed aluminum handles, and even coffee and red wine stains don't stand a chance on pure white surfaces. After a few years of riding in the rather cozy DC wagon, many manufacturers continue to pick up speed with the HQ sled. What both variants have in common is their versatility: "We can adapt the pigment coating almost indefinitely to the customer's ideas. In terms of gloss level, viscosity, structure and, of course, color shades, we are unbelievably flexible - and we can now also carry out this sorting out decentrally at our international sales companies in Benelux, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Italy and Poland," emphasizes Pesserer. Whether it's finishing with an anti-fingerprint effect, a very special surface finish or a unique special color shade - within 48 hours, every customer receives the perfectly fitting custom suit for their furniture.
