Adler tested a painting robot at its plant in Schwaz/Tyrol and carried out trials. The robot independently applied paint to a wall and can be operated intuitively via an app.

In order to offer customers the best possible service, Adler works closely with machine and system manufacturers. The well-founded interest in future-oriented technologies and innovative approaches led the painting robot from ConBotics to the Schwaz paint factory in November. In the former advertising material warehouse, a purple and a green wall were already waiting to be painted by robot hands: after a quick and easy set-up, the first thing on the agenda was to scan the premises.

Painting robot works independently

The robot can be operated intuitively via an app on a controller. Equipped with the wall paint Aviva Europlus white from Adler, the little painter helper got started straight away: the device moves along the wall independently, while the mobile spray arm applies an even layer of paint using a classic airless device. The robot also copes well with corners and edges. It recognizes window and door openings and automatically avoids them. "The application with our wall paints works perfectly, the result has convinced us. For large areas in particular, a painting robot can be a valuable addition to traditional roller application or spraying with airless equipment," said Philipp Diepvens and Jan Schwämmle with satisfaction. The two Adler application technology experts organized the trial and are happy to advise interested parties on the use of painting robots with the right wall paints and coatings from Adler.
