Eckart presents its innovations at the European Coatings Show 2025

At the European Coatings Show (ECS) 2025 in Nuremberg, effect pigment manufacturer Eckart will be showcasing innovative solutions for various areas of coatings under the motto Go:Future: from corrosion protection to radar-transparent pigment solutions for autonomous driving and paint trend colors.
Versatile visual effects and improved handling are the focus of the new products that Eckart is presenting at the European Coatings Show 2025, as is the topic of sustainability. Two new zinc flake pigments for corrosion protection, Standart Zinc Matt Black and ProFlake Zn Hydro PM 3090, are being launched on the market: Standart Zinc Matt Black offers rust resistance - even without an extra topcoat. With ProFlake Zn Hydro PM 3090, Eckart is presenting the world's only zinc pigment for aqueous systems at the ECS that is particularly suitable for industrial applications.
Pigments for painting vehicles
The topic of autonomous driving places special demands on the paintwork of vehicles: they must be radar-transparent in order to guarantee the functionality of the sensor technology. Eckart is presenting a whole range of pigment solutions, including the water-based pigment pastes Silvershine Hydro Platinum and Titanium Grey, which meet these requirements. They create structureless, elegant metallic surfaces and are ideal for silver effect coatings and color designs. The pigment dispersions of Metalure Prismatic 100560 MA impress with their optical effects and versatility in coating applications. Thanks to their fine particle size and innovative VMP technology, they create subtle metallic rainbow effects in coating and printing projects. With its broad compatibility with solvents and binders, Metalure Prismatic can be used in the electronics sector, but also in automotive parts and high-quality packaging. The new additions to the Metalure C series offer a complete range of colors from light to dark chrome effects with their high image definition and striking mirror effect.
Trend colors for paints
The Stapa HD metallic pigment pastes are suitable for industrial and automotive paints, but are also optimized for exterior and interior use. With its high opacity and brilliance, Stapa HD (high density pigments) is extremely economical to use and therefore very economical. Eckart is also looking ahead with the 2026 trend colors for paints. The five color palettes in the collection combine subtly tinted silver nuances with metallic and pearlescent effects. The trend colors focus on technology and progress, while at the same time creating an emotional connection with the past. Solutions for plastics will also be on show at the ECS: New here is Lasersafe 020, a pigment for light-colored laser coatings on dark plastics, which can also be used for food packaging. Mastersafe is a particularly low-dust and low-odour pellet portfolio for plastics that also requires less CO2 input.
