Eckart is expanding its product range of silver effect pigments for radar-transparent painting of vehicles and add-on parts with the new product Luxan CFX B604 Midnight Silver "Diving Effect".

Luxan CFX B604 Midnight Silver complements effect pigment manufacturer Eckart's range of pigments for autonomous driving. This range of special pigments with a metallic look has a high radar transparency, which is essential for applications such as autonomous driving and where conventional metallic effect pigments reach their limits. Even a small amount is sufficient to visually enhance basic colors. The new pigment adds sparkling silver highlights to the coating and can be combined with other pigments - in particular with aluminum effect pigments and from the special Symic OEM Opaque Silver product range for autonomous driving.

"With these innovative pigments, paint manufacturers are optimally prepared for future mobility technology," explains Thomas Schneider, Head of Automotive Coatings, Product Evaluation. "Luxan CFX B604 Midnight Silver once again significantly expands the range of achievable effects for individual, radar-transparent styling." The new Luxan CFX B604 Midnight Silver impresses with its extraordinary sparkle with the innovative "diving effect": the elegant silver transitions smoothly into a deep dark-down flop. The interaction of the deep sparkle with a light source reveals a mysterious 3D depth effect. According to the manufacturer, Luxan CFX B604 Midnight Silver is characterized by excellent resistance to weathering and chemicals. It also has excellent shear stability and intercoat adhesion.
