Plasmatreat presents HydroPlasma, a new innovative solution for the gentle, intensive and efficient removal of stubborn residues from glass, metal and plastic surfaces. The cleaning technology is an alternative without solvents or time-consuming chemical wet cleaning.

The new HydroPlasma cleaning solution from Plasmatreat combines the proven benefits of open-air plasma technology with the chemical reactivity of water, setting new standards in surface pre-treatment for subsequent production steps. While conventional cleaning methods often rely on solvents or complex, chemical wet processes, Plasmatreat offers a reliable and efficient alternative with HydroPlasma. The innovative technology works completely without chemicals and uses only compressed air, electricity and water. HydroPlasma thus sets new standards in industrial surface cleaning - environmentally friendly, reliable and economical. A particular advantage: HydroPlasma enhances the effect of the proven open-air plasma technology and also enables the removal of inorganic residues such as fingerprints, which were previously difficult to remove. This advanced solution offers companies a highly effective and resource-saving alternative to conventional cleaning methods.

HydroPlasma removes impurities with a plasma jet

The innovative technology uses ionized water to remove even stubborn contaminants such as oils, salts and grease in a targeted and efficient manner - completely chemical-free and environmentally friendly. The cleaning process is based on the direct injection of water into the plasma jet, where it is ionized and converted into a highly reactive jet. This is directed precisely onto the desired substrate surface via a specially developed nozzle. The ionized water molecules achieve a cleaning effect comparable to detergent in warm water, reliably dissolving and removing residues. The open-air plasma process developed by Plasmatreat has been optimizing production processes in industry for many years. In this process, a process gas, usually air, is ionized by a high-voltage electric arc. This creates a plasma jet that uses a specially adapted nozzle to clean surfaces such as metal and glass with micro-fine precision and activate plastic. At the same time, the plasma treatment increases the surface energy, making materials more wettable and creating optimum conditions for subsequent processes.

HydroPlasma as a powerful cleaning technology

For applications in which open-air plasma alone is not sufficient and which go beyond ultra-fine cleaning - for example in the case of difficult-to-remove contaminants such as oils, greases or salts - HydroPlasma supplements the Plasmatreat portfolio with another powerful cleaning technology. Openair-Plasma and HydroPlasma are VOC-free, sustainable cleaning processes that do not require any environmentally harmful chemicals. HydroPlasma is particularly suitable for industries with high cleanliness requirements and can be integrated into existing production processes and Plasmatreat plasma systems. Originally developed for metal and glass cleaning, HydroPlasma also shows its advantages in the plastics sector. The cooling effect of the water supply minimizes the risk of thermal damage to sensitive surfaces and thus enables gentle but effective cleaning.
