Plasmatreat Iberia S.L., a subsidiary of Pla.smatreat GmbH, Germany, is further expanding its presence on the Iberian Peninsula. The expanded sales team offers comprehensive expertise in surface pretreatment with open-air plasma technology.

The Plasmatreat Iberia team, which is responsible for the Spanish and Portuguese markets, has welcomed two new employees in recent months. "I am very pleased about the addition to the team," says Desiderio Diaz Garcia, General Manager at Plasmatreat Iberia. "Raquel Rosique Cáceres has been supporting the entire team in the administrative area and in internal sales since fall 2023. Marc Costa Camprubí is our newest team member and will support customers in the Catalonia region as Sales Manager and will also be involved in application technology and customer lab trials." The team in Spain already changed last year: Mercedes Tur Escriva moved from Plasmatreat North America from looking after the Latin American market back to Spain. This change and the arrival of Marc Costa Camprubí created the opportunity to reorganize the regions on the Iberian Peninsula. Tur Escriva, who has been working in sales at Plasmatreat for more than 9 years, has more than 2 decades of experience in the field of surface treatment technologies. In her new position, she will focus on market development, events and trade fairs and has taken over sales responsibility for the eastern region of Spain. Desiderio Diaz Garcia, who has headed the Spanish branch since mid-2020, covers the majority of Spain and Portugal from Madrid.

With the bundled expertise, the various regions of the Iberian Peninsula and the important automotive, including e-mobility, packaging, electronics and household appliances industries will be served in the best possible way. With the support of the German headquarters of Plasmatreat, the global market leader for atmospheric plasma technology, the sales team is currently also responsible for various service issues and the commissioning of plasma systems and equipment for customers. However, this is also set to change in the future, as the company is looking for an additional service technician to take over service issues as well as parts of the application technology on the Iberian Peninsula. All team members have extensive knowledge of the industry and have also focused in the past on surface technology or the focus industries in which Plasmatreat systems are used for pre-treatment. In cooperation with the headquarters and other subsidiaries, Plasmatreat Iberia aims to acquire new customers as well as drive forward the project business in the automotive sector. The Spanish market is also of interest to major German and US car manufacturers. The use of plasma technology for the surface treatment of all materials prior to further processing plays a decisive role here.
