Entry-level thermal imaging camera Eco from Hikmicro

Thermal imaging cameras are becoming increasingly important in industry, the construction sector and in the home. With the compact and powerful Eco series, thermal imaging camera specialist Hikmicro therefore presents two affordable infrared cameras specifically for entry-level applications.
Meanwhile, thermal imaging cameras have become indispensable tools not only in industrial maintenance and in the construction sector. Hikmicro has now developed an entry-level series with the handheld thermal imaging camera Eco. The Eco series consists of the Eco and Eco-V models and is surprisingly affordable for its performance specifications. With its 96 x 96 (9,216) pixel thermal resolution, it allows for quick on-site troubleshooting. Thanks to the SuperIR function, the resolution can even be extended to 240 x 240 (57,600) pixels. This, combined with a comparatively high refresh rate of 25 Hz, ensures a clear, smooth image at all times (as opposed to the 9 Hz often found in basic thermal imaging cameras, which makes inspections more tedious and much more strenuous). The camera allows precise temperature measurement in full screen mode and stores radiometric thermal images. Maximum and minimum values can be automatically tracked as well as average values to immediately detect temperature anomalies. The Eco accurately measures temperatures over a range of -20 °C to 550 °C with an accuracy of up to +/-2 °C or +/-2 % of reading.
Hikmicro's "SuperIR" image enhancement technology allows thermal images to be upscaled from 96 x 96 (9,216 pixels) to 240 x 240 (57,600 pixels) when viewed live at the fast frame rate of 25 Hz. The stored thermal images then also have the higher resolution of 240 x 240 pixels. With the Eco's 50° wide-angle lens, larger areas can be quickly scanned to find problems such as air leaks, water leaks and insulation issues. The camera features a laser pointer and 4GB of flash memory for up to 30,000 thermal images, as well as central spot, hot spot and cold spot measurement presets. Users can select the ideal color scale for their work from the seven color palettes White Hot, Black Hot, Rainbow, Ironbow, Redhot, Fusion as well as Above Alarm. Thanks to its IP54 certification, the Eco Series is rugged and durable, passes rigorous drop tests from up to 2 meters and comes with a three-year warranty. Its built-in 3350 mAh Li-ion battery allows for up to 8 hours of continuous operation thanks to a well-designed auto power-off function (5/10/20 minutes). In addition to the infrared lens, the Eco V camera version also has a 640 × 480 resolution visual camera, thanks to which fusion thermal imaging is also possible, combining thermal image and real image. "Fusion" adds important details from the visual camera to the thermal image, providing additional detail and clarity. Users can switch between the three image modes (thermal image, visible image and fusion) at any time. Simultaneous storage of visual images and thermal images with a single click enables efficient work and fast inspection reports.
