Hikmicro SP series: high-performance thermal imaging camera for maintenance
The high-end Hikmicro SP60 thermal imaging camera offers excellent value for money in the premium class. With its high thermal resolution, high temperature accuracy and razor-sharp image quality, the SP60 is ideal for industrial applications such as preventive maintenance.
The SP60 is Hikmicro's first thermal imaging camera with a flexible rotating lens and screen. Its 90° rotatable screen with automatic alignment and 180° rotatable lens allow easy viewing of not only the area above or below the target, but also around it and in hard-to-see spaces. Its high-sensitivity vox detector (Netd < 30 mk) provides a clear thermal image of the target with 640 x 480 (307,200 pixels) IR resolution. The camera has a very powerful zoom (stepless 1x-12x), which is particularly impressive due to its fast focusing speed of only one second. Four modes are available: manual focus, continuous autofocus, autofocus and laser-assisted focus. To minimize sun glare, the SP60 features an electronic OLED viewfinder with the very good resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and a 5-inch color LCD touch display with automatic brightness adjustment. This facilitates outdoor inspections in bright, difficult lighting conditions. In addition, an extensive range of interchangeable lenses (with fields of view of 8°,12°, 25° and 50°) is available for every conceivable inspection situation.
The SP60 has three options for setting the level/span mode (manual, automatic and 1-tap) to instantly improve image contrast and highlight potential problems. Its built-in laser rangefinder allows accurate distance measurements from a long distance, making it easy to set parameters and create reports. Various image annotations are possible even while thermographing: in addition to text and voice recordings, the camera also has GPS and compass functions that automatically add metadata such as location and direction information to the thermal image. The included Hikmicro Analyzer software provides flexible options (points, lines, rectangles, circles, polygons) to analyze the captured images and generate reports. The camera can also be connected to the Hikmicro Viewer app via W-LAN, for example, to transfer images directly to a cell phone or tablet. Battery life is four hours in continuous operation, and as with all Hikmicro products, the company provides a warranty of three years for the entire device and ten years for the sensor.
