Lach Diamant will be exhibiting its grinding range at the AMB in Stuttgart (September 10-14). It includes Borazon CBN mounted points and internal grinding wheels, the development of which began 55 years ago.

The development of Borazon CBN mounted points and internal grinding wheels from Lach Diamant began exactly 55 years ago, in 1969, when the then superabrasives manufacturer General Electric first offered Borazon as an abrasive for the development of so-called boron nitride CBN grinding wheels and mounted points for the abrasives industry. Borazon, advertised as the abrasive of a new era, created the prerequisite for grinding hardened steels from 58 HRc faster and more economically for the first time due to its hardness and heat resistance. The plastic-bonded Borazon CBN grinding wheels developed by Lach Diamant under the name K-MX and Tressex for grinding HSS and hardened steels were so successful right from the start that they quickly replaced the conventional ceramic wheels previously used for tool grinding, for example.

One grinding task, however, was conquered by Borazon almost immediately - internal cylindrical grinding. The "G-MX" mounted points and internal grinding wheels on an electroplated bond developed by Lach Diamant turned out to be a real hit. And here - at the beginning - especially for all manufacturers of "collets". Even today, Lach Diamant has a wide range of Borazon CBN mounted points and internal grinding wheels available for all collet manufacturers for immediate delivery from stock. Depending on the application, all internal grinding wheels - diamond and CBN - as well as all grinding wheels manufactured by Lach Diamant, can also be supplied in special plastic, metal and ceramic bonds. Lach Diamant will be exhibiting at AMB in Stuttgart from September 10-14, 2024 in Hall 3, Stand D11.
