"Everyone needs a powder award": QIB Trainee Award 2023 presented

This year, at the annual congress of the Quality Association for Industrial Coating (QIB), not only the regular winner of the award but also Basel Kawabki received special recognition. Kawabki, who fled Syria six years ago, not only learned the language, but also successfully completed his entire vocational training with exams and outstanding results at Diebold Nixdorf Systems during this time. This impressive achievement was recognized with a special prize from the QIB. In addition, three other nominees were honored for their successful training: Max Reichert (training company Benseler Beschichtungen), Philipp Kania (training company Ambrock) and Celine Eberle (training company Kopp AG). As a special prize, Coatmaster provided all winners with a Coatmaster coating thickness gauge for three months as a symbol of the motto "Quality is in your hands".

In his laudatory speech, Matthias Bader described the young people as beacons of hope for the industry and wished them a successful start to their careers. The award not only recognizes individual achievements, but also underlines the responsibility of the current generation to support future generations in their professional development.
