At Deburring Expo 2023, Walther Trowal will showcase its new vibratory finishing machines for deburring and surface finishing of high-quality metal workpieces. Among them is a fully automatic system for combined grinding, polishing and drying for small parts.

Typical applications of Walther Trowal's vibratory finishing systems are, for example, the deburring of turbine blades for the aerospace industry, stamped parts for the automotive industry or implants in medical technology. The new TT centrifugal machine from Walter Trowal combines grinding and polishing of small parts in a single machine, thus significantly simplifying surface finishing. From the infeed of the straightened parts to the removal of the polished and dried ones, the TT 280-A/2C processing line operates fully automatically. A typical application is the surface treatment of piston rods for damper systems in hinges of ovens, dishwashers or furniture.

The new MV 50 multivibrator is the largest Walther Trowal has ever built. It reduces the processing time of large workpieces from several days to a few hours. With an inner diameter of 1,600 mm, it processes the surface of workpieces with a diameter of up to 1,300 mm fully automatically in a single operation. It is suitable, for example, for components of aircraft engines and wind turbines, and also for turbine runners or press dies in closed-die forging presses. Walther Trowal will soon deliver the first system of the new series to a customer in the aerospace industry. The spectrum of vibratory finishing systems from Walther Trowal ranges from stand-alone rotary vibrators to systems that are fully integrated into continuous manufacturing processes, including the peripherals for feeding and discharging the parts. The grinding wheels specially developed for deburring remove burrs without removing too much material from the surface of the workpieces. Particularly in the case of complex-shaped components, the grinding wheels reach areas that are hardly accessible during manual deburring. Trowal will be present at DeburringExpo 2023 at booth 410.
