Axalta introduces Irus Mix mixing system for automotive refinish coatings

Axalta Irus Mix is the result of Axalta's development of innovative new ways to meet customer needs so customers can operate more efficiently, profitably and sustainably. In exclusive partnership with a leading global equipment manufacturer, Axalta has driven the concept, development, design and build of Axalta Irus Mix from the ground up. According to the manufacturer, its patented technology makes it the fastest fully automated mixing system on the market. Axalta's testing and trials have shown that refinish customers can achieve a reduction in labor time of over 60 percent with Axalta Irus Mix compared to a manual dispensing process. The mixing system is very easy to use and does not need to be operated by a trained refinisher. The process allows painters to perform other tasks while the paint is being mixed. Axalta Irus Mix is used with Axalta's proven bottle system. Therefore, there is no need to load or transfer the products into special bottles. In addition, the bottles are equipped with precise dosing lids, thus achieving accurate color shades without material waste. Axalta Irus Mix will be rolled out across Europe starting in June 2023, with a global launch coming soon.
