Wenglor gloss sensor for reliable surface inspection

With the new generation of GM04 gloss sensors, the Wenglor Sensoric Group is updating its portfolio in the field of optoelectronic sensors. The sensors enable precise differentiation between matt and glossy surfaces, for example for monitoring paint applications.
The new GM04 gloss sensors from Wenglor are suitable for reliably detecting transparent labels or adhesive tapes on packaging. They also contribute to the reliable monitoring of coating and glue applications as well as drying conditions. The GM04 sensors are characterized by their universal applicability. The flexibly adjustable gloss level offers maximum flexibility in adapting to different materials. Thanks to their high insensitivity to vibrations or object movements, the sensors always switch reliably. A potentiometer enables intuitive adjustment and the IO-Link interface offers fast data transmission.
In the compact M design (57.3 × 27 × 16 mm), the gloss sensors ensure stable object detection in a working range of 5 to 40 mm. Thanks to protection class IP67, they are protected against dust and water and can be used in a temperature range from -25 to +60 °C. The highlights at a glance: Insensitive to vibrations and object movements, setting via potentiometer, additional functions via IO-Link 1.1, compact M design (57.3 × 27 × 16 mm), working range from 5 to 40 mm and protection class IP67 for optimum protection against dust and water.
