Wenglor: Ring illumination and dark field attachment for surface inspection

Wenglor is expanding its lighting technology portfolio with a new ring light for industrial inspections and a dark field attachment for precise surface inspection.
The LRL ring light from the Wenglor Sensoric Group is equipped with LEDs arranged in a circle to ensure uniform illumination intensity over the entire test object. With two sizes and three light colors, it is suitable for a wide range of applications and camera requirements in industrial image processing. The optional Angle Changer allows flexible adjustment of the illumination angle, resulting in a better homogeneity of the field of view. Available in two different sizes with an inner diameter of 37 or 76 mm, the LRL ring light creates optimal lighting situations in confined spaces and compact applications as well as for larger lenses and more demanding applications. Compatibility with angle changers enables a bright, uniform and diffuse lighting solution with different beam angles without shadowing. The convergence light attachment minimizes ring effects. Six M4 mounting threads, a comprehensive range of mounting accessories and connection via a 5-pin M12 connector ensure flexible mounting options.
With white, red and infrared light, the LRL ring light offers three different types of light and is infinitely dimmable. It can be used flexibly in continuous or flash overdrive mode. The robust, anodized aluminium housing with IP67 protection ensures efficient heat dissipation, ensuring constant and reliable light output even in continuous operation. The small LRL ring light can also be attached directly to C-mount lenses using an adapter. The new Wenglor LMFX dark field illuminator combines the LMRX ring illuminator with the new ZMRG dark field attachment to ensure precise surface inspection at an angle of incidence of 60 degrees. This configuration is particularly suitable for the inspection of shiny and dark surfaces, clearly highlighting edges, irregularities and scratches. For example, the LMFX dark field illumination contributes to quality control and fault detection in electronics production by enhancing the contrast at the edges of individual components during PCB inspection, thereby improving their visibility.
