From October 7 to 8, 2025, the measurement technology manufacturer Mahr will be hosting the High Performance Surface Summit (HPS 25) in Göttingen for the first time. It is aimed at all those who not only want to understand functional surfaces, but also design and qualify them in a targeted manner.

Mahr's High Performance Surface Summit focuses on high-performance surfaces through the targeted interaction of research, measurement technology and industrial practice. The target group are people involved in the scientific analysis, metrological quantification and industrial application of functional surfaces. The event aims to provide a forum for professional exchange between science and application. The two-day programme includes presentations by leading experts on current issues in surface functionalization and characterization in order to achieve efficiency-optimized machine elements and efficient series production. Modeling approaches, measurement strategies and implementation paths will be discussed in order to provide orientation in a changing industrial environment.

In summary, the HPS 25 offers the following: Cross-scale and cross-method considerations of functional surfaces, linking scientific knowledge and industrial relevance as well as interdisciplinary exchange at a high professional level. Prior registration is required for participation. Further information and a registration form can be found on the event page.
