Paint color trends: Mankiewicz "Colors of the Year 2024"

The design team at paint manufacturer Mankiewicz has identified new color trends for 2024. The global paint trend colors "Colors of the Year" are characterized by retro charm, minerals and fog.

With its "Colors of the Year" for 2024, Mankiewicz shows how strongly social moods and trends are expressed in colors. "Embrace in Orange", "Undated" and "Fog" are the names of the three color worlds that the global paint manufacturer's design team has developed for the coming year.

Thematically, the three "Colors of the Year" from Mankiewicz reflect the feeling of a world that produces events and news at a rapid pace. Keeping up with this is a challenge that, on closer inspection, evokes different reactions from us. "Embrace in Orange" and "Undated" are therefore found in different warm color worlds and impress with their joie de vivre and serenity. The third shade, "Fog", on the other hand, captivates with a subtle pearl effect that has a hint of futurism. These shades are intended to inspire timeless design and encourage the creation of surfaces that provide long-lasting pleasure.

In times of exhaustion and uncertainty, the color orange seems like a balm for the soul. It brightens the mood and stands for sociability, creativity and joie de vivre. Embrace in Orange is reminiscent of the youthfulness of the 70s, orange lemonade and design classics with a retro connection. Mineral earth tones such as clay, plaster and stone characterize the contemporary design style. "Undated" plays with irregularities in the surface and uses them as a character-defining feature. Similar to fired clay, terrazzo or modern recycled materials, the cool lifelessness of the surface creates a calm and stable aura. Imperfection is not seen as a flaw here, but as a unique element that conveys openness and tolerance. "Undated" offers design diversity: from modern and sporty to refined and elegant. "Fog" is a light porcelain shade with a chalky character and a fine pearl effect with a soft but lasting effect. The shade is based on fog, which transforms the surroundings into a calm, quiet world, similar to a soft focus. It radiates calm and peacefulness. In combination with other colors, light tones often fade into the background. When they are among themselves, the result can range from sportiness and a futuristic look to great elegance.
