Parts2clean 2023 Review
As the leading trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning, parts2clean 2023 attracted over 3,000 trade visitors and 150 exhibitors to Stuttgart. The trade visitors' demand for information on cleaning solutions was high, including this year's focus topic of high purity.
Intensive technical discussions, a highly frequented technical forum and a positive atmosphere on all three days of the trade fair showed that the 20th parts2clean, which ended on September 28, 2023, fulfilled expectations. Over 3,000 trade visitors came to the event, most of them with current tasks and projects and a great need for knowledge. This resulted in high-quality contacts, new projects and even direct business deals for the more than 150 exhibitors from 14 countries.
Around 33 percent more visitors at parts2clean 2023
Cleanliness is playing an increasingly important role in more and more industrial sectors - this is the conclusion that can be drawn at the end of the 20th parts2clean. This is illustrated by the tasks and projects with which the more than 3,000 visitors came to the Stuttgart trade fair grounds from October 26 to 28, 2023. The proportion of foreign visitors was around 20 percent, with the strongest visitor nations being Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Austria and the Netherlands. The highlight theme "High Purity", which was added to the core areas of the leading international trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning for the first time this year, certainly contributed to the considerable increase of around 33 percent compared to the previous year. "As a result, we have placed a stronger focus on the range of solutions offered by parts2clean for tasks where the highest cleanliness requirements must be met," reports Christoph Nowak, Project Director at Deutsche Messe AG. "And we have succeeded in attracting more visitors from these industries to parts2clean."
Günther Schmauz, CEO of acp systems AG, confirms this: "With our high-purity snow blast cleaning solutions, we used to be more of a niche at parts2clean. At this year's event, however, we were able to welcome a large number of trade fair guests from the fields of EUV lithography, including system partners and suppliers, as well as electromobility. The latter ranged from battery manufacturers to components for power supply and energy management to electric motors. For us, parts2clean 2023 has therefore gone very well." Jan Gerbrands, CEO of Dutch company Brookhuis Applied Data Intelligence B. V., which manufactures products for optimizing the operation of cleanrooms, expressed similar sentiments: "It was a super trade fair for us, as we were able to generate many new contacts." "parts2clean was much more successful for us this year than in 2022. This is certainly due to the highlight topic of high purity, which is a focal point of Ecoclean's program. This attracted new visitors," reports Rainer Straub, Board of Management, Vice President Sales & Customer Service, Ecoclean GmbH.
Decisive parts2clean trade visitors with investment intentions
In total, more than 150 exhibitors from 14 countries presented new, enhanced and proven products and services for industrial parts and surface cleaning on around 4,500 square meters. The fact that most of them were able to hold very detailed discussions about specific projects was due to the above-average proportion of trade visitors (99 percent). Around 88 percent are involved in operational investment decisions and around 80 percent visited the trade fair with investment intentions. And these were also implemented directly at parts2clean, as Wolfgang Prem, Managing Director of Maschinenbau Silberhorn GmbH, reports: "This year, we made many good contacts with visitors from companies that we had never met before. However, the highlight of our participation at the trade fair was that we were able to sell one of our new MWS cleaning systems to a company from Israel directly at our stand. It was a first contact that came about here at the trade fair." Manfred Holzleg, General Manager of Safechem Europe GmbH, also expressed his satisfaction: "At parts2clean, we always have the opportunity to meet a very diverse audience. This year, we were able to hold numerous good discussions, especially with visitors from sectors that are new to us, and this also enables us to open up new business areas. However, parts2clean is also important for us because it brings together global market and technology leaders from the various areas of industrial cleaning technology and provides an opportunity for interdisciplinary discussions about developments and trends."
Bahadir KöK, Sales Manager of the Turkish company Everest Elektro Mechanik Makina Sanayi Ve Tic. A.S. has a similar view: "parts2clean is one of the most important trade fairs for Everest. In order to become more independent of the automotive industry, we have developed new systems, for example in line with the standards in medical technology, which we present here. We also invite our dealers from various countries to the trade fair to present the new developments to them." Maria Laure from the New Business Perfect Welding division at Austrian company Fronius International GmbH is very positive about her participation in the trade fair: "This is the third time we have taken part in parts2clean and we have seen a positive development in terms of both visitor numbers and internationality. We conduct around 50 percent of our discussions in English. These are very intensive discussions that focus on specific tasks and some visitors even have the workpieces to be cleaned with them."
Great demand for information ensures record numbers at the parts2clean expert forum
"The bilingual specialist forum at parts2clean has always been a magnet for visitors. But this year it underlined its status as one of the world's most sought-after sources of knowledge on industrial parts and surface cleaning with record attendance," reports Christoph Nowak. And the figures speak for themselves: a total of 2,700 times knowledge transfer par excellence by listening to the simultaneously translated (German <> English) presentations by renowned speakers from science, research and industry to generate or deepen cleaning knowledge. "The enormous popularity shows that there is an immense need for information for both classic cleaning tasks and high-purity applications, which will continue to increase due to changing and new requirements," adds Christoph Nowak.
2nd FiT2clean Award presented
The last day of parts2clean also offered a highlight with the presentation of the FiT2clean Award. This was the second time that the German Industrial Parts Cleaning Association (FiT) had honored outstanding achievements and solutions for parts cleaning. Intelligent Fluids GmbH won the 10,000 euro innovation prize for the development of water-based, sustainable phase fluids that can replace conventional solvents in numerous cleaning applications.
