Wolfmair Beschichtung: Investment in modern powder booth

Wolfmair Beschichtungs GmbH from Goldwörth in Upper Austria invests more than 10 percent of its annual sales in new equipment and powder booths in order to constantly keep its finger on the pulse, improve operating processes and deliver even higher quality. This year, an old metal booth was replaced by a modern plastic booth that offers employees a comfortable working environment. "Coating is now carried out outside the extraction zone and this makes work much more pleasant and ergonomic," says Managing Director Birgit Wolfmair.

The new powder booth also scores with energy-efficient LED lighting systems, as the LED lights require much less energy than conventional fluorescent lamps and ensure optimum illumination of the work area. As a result, work can be carried out with even greater precision and unnecessary reworking or even rejects can thus be prevented. The better illumination is also needed because the geometry of the parts to be coated is becoming increasingly complex. More freedom of movement means that more than one person can work on the product at the same time. The lifting tables provide an ergonomic stand and optimize the workflow. "We are investing in the direction of the future," says Birgit Wolfmair, who also points to the structured and well-organized processes: "The plants are optimally utilized, downtimes and plant idle times are reduced, and this results in massive energy savings, for example, in the area of the baking oven, because in combination with the investments in the area of digitalization, we can save three hours of production and thus reduce working hours to a four-day or 36-hour week. A win-win situation for everyone!"
